Especially if you are a bit older and have drunk a lot during your life, have your liver values tested every now and then. You don't feel a bad liver and if you don't intervene in time, you're too late.

I have an addition to the facts about a hangover (from naturopathy): ginger is very helpful for nausea.
The best is fresh ginger root (organic). You can peel it and then suck it, but you can also put slices of fresh ginger in cold or hot water.
Another tip (from Ayurveda) is hot water: without anything in it. Just drinking a glass of hot water is very detoxifying. And of course replenishes the moisture.
Finally, I often drink a glass of hot water with a squeezed lemon. This stimulates the bile secretion, which is very good for the liver. And contrary to what you might think, it even has a deacidifying effect. Not many people know that.
This information can be checked with a natural or Ayurvedic doctor. I'm neither, but use the tips regularly (even in a month like this, without alcohol!).

I drank quite a lot of wine, especially when I had visitors. I wanted to stop for once. A few weeks ago I took non-alcoholic wine. To my surprise I found out that it was not about the alcohol, but the habit of pouring a glass of wine. With or without alcohol. Strange but true. Glad I found out. Better late than never.
