Smoothie bowl with acai
Starting your day fit and fresh starts with a healthy breakfast. As a foodie and mother, food blogger Judith knows how important it is to ensure that you get your daily amount of vitamins. Smoothie bowls are a good example of a tasty and healthy breakfast.
Have you ever eaten an acai bowl? The açai smoothie bowl is a healthy breakfast packed with fruit that tastes like a dessert. Made with acai puree, banana, berries and dairy-free milk. Making your own açai bowl is very easy and very tasty, take a look.
Acai
This purple smoothie bowl is made using the acai berry. The acai berry is a berry that grows naturally in Brazil and is packed with vitamins.
In the Netherlands you often buy açai in powder or puree form. This is because the berry has to come from afar and is delicate. I have a jar of acai powder myself. This stays good for quite a long time and I can use it whenever I feel like it.
Ingredients for the açai bowl
You can use different fruits and vegetables as a base to make a smoothie bowl. I like to add some vegetables to my smoothie bowl. Spinach and cauliflower are almost impossible to taste and are packed with vitamins and minerals.
To keep the beautiful color, I chose cauliflower in this bowl. Believe me, you won't taste it anymore when 'it' is ready.
Oh yes, it is best to eat the smoothie instead of drinking it. You will enjoy it longer and it is also healthier for your digestion.
Toppings
Finally comes the best part (except for the eating ;-). Topping the delicious smoothie bowl. Nuts, kernels, seeds or fruit (possibly dried). Just what you like and have in your house.
Enjoy your dinner!
