moment of happiness

Many people now that they have stopped drinking, tend to fall back on more sugar and fat. If you drink a glass of alcohol, you feel good, you feel good. This is because dopamine is released and that provides a moment of happiness. Now that you no longer drink, you may be taking worse alternatives to also create that moment of happiness.

It's difficult, but the best thing you can do is find out what (besides alcohol, fat or sugar) also gives you a moment of happiness. Do you like to watch movies? Choose a nice movie and save it for a 'difficult' moment. Do you have a collection? Then update it at a 'difficult' moment. Do you love yogurt with fresh fruit? Save it until a difficult moment. Don't be tempted by unhealthy substitutes, but consciously think about what could be something that makes you happy.

What is also important: consciously reflect on the lack of a moment of happiness. You may find it difficult and you may suffer from it. It does not always have to be filled.
