Nice weekend recipe: BLT wrap with crispy chicken and honey mustard sauce
It's just not a weekend without a weekend recipe. Therefore, especially for all newsletter readers, this BLT (Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato) wrap with crispy chicken and a tasty honey-mustard sauce. Put this relaxed recipe on the table and drink a refreshing spring water with bubbles, a slice of lemon and a sprig of mint. Have a nice weekend.
Ingredients
For 4 wraps
- 4 medium tortilla wraps
- 4 crispy chicken cutlets (purchased or home-made)
- 4 slices of cheddar processed cheese
- 2 large tomatoes, sliced
- 125 g smoked bacon or bacon
- 1/2 head lettuce (or other lettuce), washed and patted dry
- 4 tbsp mayonnaise
- 4 tsp mild French mustard
- Nice squeeze honey
- 2 tsp dried dill
Preparation method
Bake the wraps one at a time on both sides in a dry frying pan, until they start to brown slightly. Place them on a plate and cover with foil.
Fry the bacon or bacon until crispy in a frying pan with little oil. Drain on a piece of kitchen paper. In the bacon shortening (add some extra butter or oil if necessary), fry the chicken cutlets on both sides until golden brown. Place a slice of melted cheddar on each chicken schnitzel and let it melt. Cut the chicken cutlets into thin slices.
In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, mustard, honey and dill. Spread the wraps with a generous spoonful of the honey-mustard sauce. Top with lettuce, tomato, crispy chicken and bacon. Roll up the wrap as tightly as possible and serve.
