Friday is Fast Food Friday at Sabine Koning from OhMyFoodness. This time it's the spaghetti pie. Do you have any pasta leftovers and do you want to do something fun with it? Sabine knows what to do!
Ingredients
For the spaghetti:
-500 gr spaghetti
-3 eggs
-100 gr mascarpone
-1 tbsp dried basil
-pepper and salt
For the pasta sauce:
-1 onion – chopped
-2 cloves garlic – finely chopped
-1 tbsp tomato paste
-500 gr minced meat
-700 ml sieved tomatoes
-1 tsp dried oregano
-1 tsp paprika powder
-pepper and salt
And further:
-150 gr grated cheese
-fresh parsley
Preparation method
-Heat a little oil in a frying pan and fry the garlic and onion.
- Add the minced meat as soon as the onion is translucent and starts to smell good. Add the tomato puree to the pan and fry the minced meat.
-Put the oregano and paprika powder with the minced meat in the pan and mix well. Then pour the sieved tomatoes into the pan and stir everything well.
-Bring the sauce to the boil, turn the heat to low and let the sauce simmer until the spaghetti is cooked. Season the sauce with salt and pepper.
-Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease a 24-26 cm springform pan with oil.
- Cook the spaghetti according to the instructions on the package.
- Meanwhile, beat the eggs together with the mascarpone until creamy and add salt and pepper to taste.
Drain the spaghetti and add it to the egg-mascarpone mixture in the bowl. Toss briefly and stir in the dried basil.
- Spoon half of the spaghetti into the springform pan and press lightly. Spoon half of the tomato sauce over the spaghetti.
- Top with the rest of the spaghetti and finally the rest of the tomato sauce.
- Sprinkle the grated cheese over the springform and bake the spaghetti pie in the middle of the oven for 20-25 minutes until the cheese has melted and a crispy layer has formed.
