Nice weekend recipe: healthy hair salon
Or you think now: a hair salon can't be healthy, can it? Or you are now thinking: what the hell is a hair salon? The answer to the first question is yes, definitely. And as for the second question, this is a dish consisting of fries covered with shawarma and melted cheese, topped with a salad and usually served with garlic sauce and sambal. This doesn't just sound like a calorie bomb, it is. Chickslovefood comes with an easy variant that is not only significantly healthier, but also much tastier. And that's how you make it.
Ingredients
-450 gr chicken fillet
-450 gr potato wedges
-2 garlic cloves
-3 tbsp Greek yogurt
-100 gr iceberg lettuce
Preparation method
Cut the chicken breast into strips and sprinkle with a pinch of salt and pepper.
-Heat a dash of oil in a grill pan.
- Raise the heat to high and grill the chicken breast so that you get nice stripes. Then lower the heat and continue cooking the chicken.
-In the meantime, put the potato wedges in a frying pan and fry for about 10 – 12 minutes on medium heat until golden brown.
-Peel and crush the garlic cloves and mix with the Greek yogurt and 2 splashes of water to make it a bit thinner. Season with a generous pinch of salt and pepper.
-Take an oven dish of approx. 20 x 30 cm and cover the bottom with the potato wedges. Spoon the chicken over this and then the iceberg lettuce.
-Finish with a drizzle of the garlic sauce and serve the rest of the sauce separately.
About Chickslovefood: Nina and Elise ran into each other at the University of Rotterdam. There was a click and an apartment presented itself. In 2010 food blog: Chickslovefood was created in that Rotterdam apartment. Nice and small, especially for their family and friends. But the Chickslovefood platform grew rapidly. The chicks now work together with an editorial team of 10 girls at an office in Leiderdorp, where they cook, photograph, record videos, devise commercial campaigns and send books every day.
